Degree Objective:

PhD, Transportation Technology and Policy

Research Interests:

  • Travel Behavior, Utilitarian Cycling, Electric Vehicles, Geographic Information Science

My current research interests are, in some way or another, the culmination of numerous past research and consulting endeavors. My past academic work includes that with Dr. Keith Moore of UC Irvine on biogeochemical cycling of the Southern Ocean, and with Drs. Doug Stow and Allen Hope of SDSU on remote sensing of vegetation for predictions of hydrological response. More recently I have worked as a GIS consultant with HDR Engineering in San Diego where I have found a new interest in GIS and travel behavior. Notable projects I have contributed to include the Bay Delta Conservation Plan (BDCP), Tule Wind Farm, LA Streetcar, Connecting Nevada (long range transportation plan), Las Vegas Regional Pedestrian Study, SANDAG GIS On-Call, and Orange County Transportation Authority GIS On-Call.
